Health Disparities Among Rural People Who Use Drugs: Possible Negative Impacts of COVID-19

Wiley D. Jenkins, PhD, MPH is a Research Associate Professor and Chief of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the Department of Population Science and Policy at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. His most recent research examines disease transmission among injection drug users in rural communities, and he currently oversees the science and research direction of the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Dr. Jenkins received his MPH from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and his PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health.
