The 2023 Symposium on Substance Use Research is November 7-9
The annual Symposium on Substance Use Research (SOSUR) focuses on leveraging research, knowledge, and insight on substance use from across the country. This year it will be held on November 07-09, via Zoom. The virtual format will include expert keynotes, panels, and research presentations on a wide variety of substance use topics. There is no cost to attend and it is open to the public.

RDAR Center Request for Pilot Grant Applications
The RDAR Center is pleased to announce an opportunity for funding that is open to all disciplines. Applicants must be full-time faculty in the University of Nebraska system who are eligible for NIH funding. Submit a pilot grant application by March 20, 2023, at 5:00 PM CT to potentially receive up to $50,000 in direct costs for two-year research projects.

They will be co-hosting the event alongside the COBRE on Opioids and Overdose, West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute, West Virginia INBRE at Marshall University, and the COBRE Center for Addiction and Disease Risk Exacerbation at Brown University.

Rural Drug Addiction Research Center Completes Renovation of a State-of-the-Art Collaboration Space
The Rural Drug Addiction Research (RDAR) Center, has completed the renovation of approximately 4,500 square feet of the fourth floor of the College of Arts and Science Building located on the city campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
This state-of-the-art collaboration space houses RDAR’s central administrative office, collaborative research rooms, a large 50 person conference room, and the Longitudinal Networks Core (LNC) while providing easy access to LNC by Center members, potential collaborators and project leaders from around campus.
